Ménière's disease is a disorder of the inner ear that is caused by a build up of fluid, which then results in hearing and balance issues. Those who are at risk for Ménière's disease include people who have autoimmune disorders, have had a viral infection of the inner ear, suffer from allergies, or have had a head injury involving the ear. Ménière's usually comes on in episodes that can last anywhere from hours to days before subsiding.
Common symptoms include vertigo, ringing in the ears, hearing loss, and a feeling of pressure in your ears.
